Acknowledgments

The Ministry of the Environment and the AntiSmog Action Plan Operating Committee would like to extend their sincere appreciation for the efforts and dedication of the work group co-chairs and participants in the preparation of sector and industry commitments and emission reduction and strategic plans in the last several years. This gratitude is also extended to those individuals working with the Ontario government for the purpose of evolving the policies and strict mandates to effect the reduction of smog.

In addition, those Anti-Smog Accord signatories developing or implementing quick starts, reporting emission reductions or participating in other anti-smog action plans should also be recognized and commended for their work.

The Centre for Research in Earth and Space Technology (CRESTech) and Network for Environmental Risk Assessment and Management (NERAM) are also acknowledged for their preparation of the Scoping Study: Information Gaps and Uncertainties in the IP/RP Compendium Document and their Impact on Strategic Options. This work will enable us to better understand the scientific, engineering and economic aspects central to the complex issue of environmental particulate matter. To this end, all Scoping Study participants are to be commended for their commitment to this very important work.
